Sichuan Museum
Sichuan Museum built in 1941, has 260,000 collections. Bashu bronzes, painting of Chang Dai-Chien and potteries are features in here. There are 14 exhibition halls allocated in 3 floors.
First floor
There are 5 exhibition halls on the 1st floor. Shufeng Hanyun Hall covers 2 exhibitions halls. Other 3 halls are temporary halls. Shufeng Hanyun Hall consists of 3 parts: primitive simple but grandiose carving, colorful and dedicate pottery and brick with paintings.
Second floor
Bronze Museum, Painting and Calligraphy Museum, Gallery of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy and Ceramics Museum are in the 2nd floor.
Bronze Museum
Bronze Museum consists of 5 parts: Zhuwa Yanyun, Majiawangqi, Baihualiufang, Peiling Yiyun and Yangzi Wuhui, exhibiting 271 collections from the West Zhou Dynasty to Warring States.
Painting and Calligraphy Museum
Painting and Calligraphy Museum exhibits over 90 collections of Chang Dai-Chien. Painting and Calligraphy Museum consists of 3 parts: facsimile Dunhuang murals, free sketch paintings and Chang Dai-Chien’s seals.
Chang Dai-Chien, born in 1899 in Sichuan, is renowned as “the pen of the East” by western artists. He was good at splash ink painting. When he traveled around, he got world wide reputation. He exchanged views with many great artists, like Picasso, Qi Baishi, Xu Beihong, Fu Ru and Lang Jingshan.
Gallery of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy
Gallery of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy collects 113 high quality paintings and calligraphies, consisting of 4 parts: the Tang, Song and Yuan Dynasties, the Ming Dynasty, the Qing Dynasty and modern times.
Ceramics Museum
The theme of this hall is “The Art of Earth and Fire”. The hall collects porcelains from the Neolithic Age to the Qing Dynasty in Sichuan.
The Third Floor
The stairs lead to the third floor is on the south position. A café on the left side of the outdoor platform is for visitors to rest.
The Light of Tibetan Buddhist
This section is divided into four parts containing Tibetan Buddhism gold bronze statues, Tibetan Buddhism sacred temple, Tibetan buddhist painting art and ancient books and records. There more than 200 cultural relics on display in total and most of them are put on the platform in public the first time.
Stone Inscription of Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery
This section is divided into four parts containing statues of the Northern and Southern Dynasties, statues of Tang Dynasty, statues of the Five Dynasties and the statues of stone inscription of the other area of Sichuan. Totally put 65 pieces of statues of the period between the Northern and Southern Dynasties to the Five Dynasties on display, mainly shows the statues of stone inscription in Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery.
The ancient charm and grace -- Arts and Crafts Exhibition Hall
There are 11 types and 252 pieces of arts and crafts including Jade, gold and silver ware, bamboo works, lacquer, shadow play, snuff bottles, Shu embroidery, Guchin and so on. Time span is early from the Shang dynasty to the early years of the republic of China in the late Qing dynasty. They are also the practical necessities in our daily life. Their unique shaped, bright color, graceful decoration makes it the Excellent Art.
Echo among the mountains
This hall is the place for the national cultural relics of all the minority nationalities in Sichuan province, including Yi nationality living among the mountains, Qiang village families, Tibetans on the plateau, and clustered Miao village. The 200 item on display are selected from the over 7,000 national cultural relics.
Looking back to the past
This hall shows the history of the past 100 years through texts, images, and physical things.

Du Fu was a great poet in the Tang Dynasty. He lived in this cottage for 4 years off and on and created 240 poems here.
Du Fu Thatched Cottage is located in a very nice, tranquil area in the busy city. The layout and arrangement of this park is nice.

Huan Huaxi Park combines the modern design of gardens and architecture with the deep historical culture of west Sichuan. Huanhua Brook and Gan River flow across here.
