DAY 1 Yuyuan Garden, The Bund, French concession region, Shanghai Museum

Lunch

Yuyuan Garden: Yuyuan Garden is located in the center of Shanghai's old quarters. with typical Chinese classic architecture and style. Yuyuan Garden is surrounded by a busy marketplace, where visitors can find everything from popular local snacks, handicrafts, antiques, and souvenirs.

Note: Yuyuan Garden will be closed every Monday for maintenance (except Chinese public holidays).

The Bund: with 52 well-preserved old European-style buildings. Once the major trading and commercial center of old Shanghai.

French concession region: A great area to explore, from the old European buildings in shady avenues to the cafes and restaurants and upmarket shopping area of Huaihai Road.

Shanghai Museum: stunning collections of bronzes, sculptures, ceramics and porcelain, paintings, calligraphy, seals, jade, coins, furniture, and ethnic artifacts from minority groups.

DAY 2 Shanghai to Suzhou, Rickshaw ride, Lingering Garden, Panmen Gate, Humble Administrators Garden

Rickshaw ride: Through the old streets & hutong in Suzhou, you will see the local people's life.

Lingering Garden: Lingering Garden is an elaborate succession of small gardens. Lingering in a garden, you will marvel at its unique architecture and art.

Panmen Gate: A gate with land and water entrances was quite typical in ancient China. Much restored, this is one of the last remaining land and water gates in China.

Humble Administrators Garden: The garden is the best representative of classical Chinese gardens, which focuses on a central pond with pavilions, terraces, chambers, and towers located nearby.

DAY 3 Tongli Water Town, Tongli Boat Ride

Tongli Water Town: Tongli has a history of more than one thousand years. There are hundreds of gardens established in the Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty, temples, cartilages, and former residences of eminent souls. Fifteen rivers divide the town into seven islands, and forty-nine sets of historic bridges connect the town as a whole.

Tongli Boat Ride: A Tongli boat ride is the best way to experience this water town.
