Tour Itinerary
- 3-Star Hotel in Lhasa

Lhasa arrival, pick up from airport or train station to your hotel. We suggest the visitors, especially the first-timer take a good rest in the hotel which is good for adapting to the high altitude.
Good to Know:
There are three free pick-up times from the airport every day: 10 am, 1:30 pm, and 5 pm. Early arrivals need to wait for a set departure time, or you can choose to pay an extra fee for private transfers.
Pick-up from the train station does not have transfer time limitations.
- Breakfast and Welcome Dinner
Pick you up from the hotel after breakfast, hop on the bus, and start the wonderful day in Lhasa.
Firstly, head to the Potala Palace, the highest building in Lhasa, offering a great view of the city. Get into the building, and you will have a better understanding spirituality and history of the place.
Continue the trip to Jokhang Temple, the spiritual center for Buddhists in Tibet. Outside the temple is Barkhor Street. great to see pilgrims walk in circles around the temple, praying with their prayer wheels.
Stroll around and watch locals; you can shop for everything in the street, ranging from carpets, Tibetan costumes, jewelry, and traditional handicrafts.
You will have a welcome dinner at a local restaurant after the tour.
Good to Know
1. For people who have altitude sickness, suggest bringing an oxygen bottle and drinking water regularly may ease the symptoms.
2. Visitors are not allowed to take photos inside the Potala Palace.
- Breakfast
In the morning, you will visit to visit Drepung Monastery in Lhasa, built in 1416 and used to house up to 10,000 monks. Worth to see its large size and typical architecture and shrines. Requires a bit of climbing to get to the front entrance.
In the Afternoon, travel to Sera Monastery, nestled at the foothills of Salawuzi mountains, which is 3km away from Lhasa. The highlight is the “Monks Debate” at around 3 - 5 in the afternoon.
Dinner at your own arrangement. Your guide will recommend some authentic local restaurants near your hotel.

- Breakfast
Today, drive from Lhasa to Gyantse, with a photo stop at Holy Yamdork Lake on the way. The lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains with gorges and nature views.
It takes about 30 minutes to go to the lakeside under the mountain pass, and you can ride a yak to take photos (additional charge applies).
Then continue to drive west towards Gyantse, stop for a visit to Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum, then finally arrive at Shigatse.
Lunch and dinner are not included.

After breakfast, explore Tashilunpo Monastery, a historically and culturally important monastery. Step inside, and you will see the incense-filled rooms and monks chanting.
In the afternoon, we will drive back to Lhasa, which will take around 6 hours. On the way, you can enjoy scenic views of the Yarlung Zangbo Gorge/ Bhamaputra River (the Longest and largest river in Tibet).
Good to Know
Shigatse to Lhasa’s transfer perhaps by train regarding the traffic condition.

Bus transfer to Lhasa Airport or train station, the set departure time to the airport at 6:30 am, 8 am, and 12 pm.
Note: If you prefer a private transfer to the airport, an additional fee of CNY 400 per trip applies.
